On the morning of January 10, 2024, the 2023 Annual Meeting of the Convention & Exhibition Committee of China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC) was held in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province. More than 70 delegates including the Chairman, Deputy Chairpersons, executive members, and representatives from the member organizations of the Convention & Exhibition Committee attended the meeting.


The meeting was presided over by Yang Ming, the Secretary-General of the Convention & Exhibition Committee and General Manager of CMEC Expo. Wang Rui, the Director-General of the Exhibitions and Events Department of CCOIC and the Executive Vice-Chairperson of the Convention & Exhibition Committee, reported on the work of the Convention & Exhibition Committee in 2023 and proposed that in 2024, the committee would assist its members in focusing on ensuring the stability and smoothness of the international industrial supply chain. The committee would shift its focus, promote the transformation and innovation of the MICE industry, and strive for high-quality development.



Lin Shunjie, the Secretary of the Party Committee of CIEC and the Chairman of the Convention & Exhibition Committee, shared the successful experience of hosting the first China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE). He pointed out that in 2024, the Convention & Exhibition Committee would utilize the exhibition resources of CCPIT and CCOIC to build platforms and provide services to members. The committee's goals are as follows.

First, strengthening communication, reflecting the needs of member organizations, and fulfilling the function of representing the business community;


Second, shifting focus to help companies restructure international supply chains and maintain supply chain security and stability, identifying company concerns, looking into their needs, and creating innovative exhibition models;

Third, exploring the establishment of an electronic communication journal to disseminate information, interpret policies, exchange successful experiences and work insights, and inject vitality into social networks and work groups;

Fourth, engaging in communication and exchanges with foreign-funded exhibition companies, disseminating domestic and international exhibition information, assisting member organizations in exploring traditional markets, and actively exploring new arenas for exhibitions.

 

Eight member organizations, including the Exhibitions and Events Department of CCOIC, Fujian Huiyuan Culture Development Group Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Meorient Commerce & Exhibition Inc., and ITE International Exhibition Services (Beijing) Co., Ltd., introduced key projects for 2024 to the attendees. They expressed their hopes for enhanced communication, cooperation, and joint development among members.
