CEFCO 2005
The 1st China Expo Forum for International Cooperation witnessed a grand opening in 2005, with Mme. Wuyi, Vice Premier of the State Council, delivering a keynote speech, to guiding China’s convention and exhibition industry to a higher level of marketization, legalization, industrialization and internationalization. The Annual Report on China Exhibition Industry (2004) was initially released at this forum.

CEFCO 2006
In CEFCO 2006, Mme. Gu Xiulian, Vice-Chairperson of the NPC Standing Committee, attended the opening ceremony. With a specific vision, the forum focused on hot issues of the industry, like visa application for Chinese exhibitors and a release of a joint declaration by certain Ministries to protect the IPR relating to exhibitions.

CEFCO 2007
In CEFCO 2007, the importance of a harmonious external environment was emphasized by Mr. Xiu Kuangdi, Vice-Chairman of the CPPCC National Committee. Unified industrial service standards were introduced in the forum to strengthen intellectual property protection of China’s convention and exhibition industry.

CEFCO 2008
With the theme of “Joining up with the Growing Forces”, CEFCO 2008 mainly focused on new opportunities for secondary cities. It was the first time for CEFCO to be held in China’s hinterland. On this occasion, Mr. Luo Haocai, Vice-Chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, presented a key-note speech to explore the great potentials of the west to develop the exhibition industry.

CEFCO 2009
To cope with various crises and cooperate together, discussions on sustainable development of China’s convention and exhibition industry were applied in CEFCO 2009. Considering the further 10-year industry development trend and the approaching World Expo 2010, the industry had a promising future by realizing its sustainable development. Mr. Abdulaidi Amudurexiti, Vice-Chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, attended the opening and delivered a key-note speech.

CEFCO 2010
Adhering to the theme of “New Industry Growth with Confidence”, Mr. Bai Lichen, Vice Chairman of National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, gave a key-note address on the opening ceremony. Along with Shanghai Expo promotions held in Shaanxi, CEFCO 2010 explored the way to revitalize China’s convention and exhibition industry under the influence of financial crisis.
